Custard Machine
Seasonal Startup - Frost Test
Be sure to complete the test at least 14 days before your opening day, this will allow for enough time for service calls.
- Your machine should be frost tested before you fill it with product.
- Before you assemble your machine, install the dispense head only. DO NOT put the beaters into the cylinders.
- Make sure the water is on first, and then the electric.
- Turn both sides to Freeze mode for GES/GEN and Auto/Day for Toggle units. Turn the cabinet on as well on the unit. Allow the unit to run for 10-15 minutes.
- Turn both sides off. Remove the dispense head. You should find both cylinders frosted. If you don't, then you have a problem, and you will require a service visit.
- Now shut the cabinet switch off and check that the cabinet has gotten cold. If it is not cold, you will require a service visit. If the cylinders are frosted and the bacinet is cold, your refrigeration is okay.
- Next, assemble the entire machine.
- Take a bucket of warm water and place into the cabinet with the mix pick-up tubes in the water and turn on the pumps. Allow the pumps to run tunil they shut off. Open dispense plungers on both sides.
- If pressurized water comes out and the pumps turn back on, your pump system is okay. If not, you need service.
